Creative agency Ogilvy & Mather and media agencies Maxus, PHD and Carat are believed to be among those that have been invited to pitch for the creative and media business respectively. Presentations took place this week.

Walt Disney Movies currently conducts most of its marketing in-house through its distributor Continental Film Distributors.

Sources emphasised that Walt Disney Movies' marketing is separate from its theme park in Hong Kong. Mindshare currently holds Disneyland Hong Kong's media business.

"It's a very interesting client, and the pitch is professionally organised with a clear brief using their movies," said one source close to the pitch.

ZenithOptimedia Taiwan won Disney Movies' US$2million media account for the Taiwan market in 2009. PHD UK works on the Warner Brothers' media account.

The US film giant has produced an extensive range of family blockbusters and movie classics including Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story, Iron Legacy, High School Musical and The Wizard of Oz.
