Isobar Malaysia appointed Sean Wong as CEO, reporting to Nicky Lim, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Malaysia. Wong was most recently the vice president and executive business director and founding member of IPG Mediabrands’ Ensemble Worldwide in Malaysia. 

Bloomberg Media Group appointed Mike Jackson as managing director of sales in Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, he will manage Bloomberg Media Group’s APAC sales organization, overseeing cross-platform sales initiatives. With more than 20 years of experience in the media, advertising and content industry, he was most recently MD at MEC/Wavemaker. Jackson replaces Mark Froude, who will be leaving Bloomberg in early April to move back to New Zealand.

Grey Group Malaysia promoted Heng Thang Wei to creative director. He was previously creative group head.

BBDO Malaysia appointed Donevan Chew as executive creative director.He was previously deputy ECD at Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia, effective 1 July.

Weber Shandwick announced that Herry Cahyono, currently senior vice president, Indonesia, has been promoted to general manager, Indonesia, where he will take on more operational responsibilities.

Dentsu Sports Asia has been appointed commercial partner by The Schooling Company, the exclusive agent representing Singaporean swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Joseph Schooling. Schooling turned professional as of 25 March after completing his collegiate career. The agency will advise and manage commercial and strategic opportunities, provide on-ground support during major events, advise on training facilities prior to major competitions and develop Schooling’s social responsibility initiatives throughout the region.

Gerry Boyle is to take charge of Publicis Media across EMEA in addition to his existing responsibilities in APAC as the world's second biggest media buyer seeks to "simplify" its business. (Read more)

J Walter Thompson Asia Pacific has appointed Maureen Tan, most recently general manager of Southeast Asia for Commonwealth/ McCann, as CEO in Bangkok. (Read more)

OMD Hong Kong promoted Gary Wong to managing director from his previous position as general manager while Desmond Ko was appointed as business director.

Golin was appointed by co-working space chain Naked Hub to execute its multi-channel communications programme in Hong Kong, including the launch of a new outlet in KwunTong.

BBDO India was named the lead communications partner for Indian digital convenience-store chain Vakrangee. The agency’s Mumbai office will be in charge of supporting brand and marketing communications with strategic and communication planning, messaging development and execution.

Vince Lagana is leaving Leo Burnett Sydney to join The Monkeys as executive creative director in June after a six-year stint with the agency.

Ruder Finn Asia was named the communications partner for Innovfest Unbound 2018 which will be held in Singapore on June 5 to 6.

Dia Brands Singapore hired Sherry Lee as creative director and Kay Hui as brand director. Lee was most recently with Interbrand while Hui has been with eYeka Asia Pacific, 3M, Futurebrand Singapore and Grey London.

Rakuten Marketing promoted Rhiannon Farrar to senior manager of marketing for the APAC region.

VentureDive hired Maaz Ahmed as corporate communications lead in Pakistan.
