The six invited agencies are believed to include the incumbent MEC - which has been working on the account for over four years - Carat, OMD, UM, Dentsu and ZenithOptimedia — which held the account before MEC.

The pitch presentations will take place in Tokyo, Singapore and Shanghai in late June.

Sources close to the media pitch say it is for all of Sony’s products. The client will use two of its products Bravia TV and Sony Cybershot digital camera for the pitch exercise.

Reported last June, Sony ran a 'Rock it out like Jumi' regional air guitar contest to exemplify its 'make believe' mantra.
