PHOTOS: Bacardi-Martini celebrates F1 hits with life-sized replicas

Life-sized replicas of Williams Martini Racing’s FW38 race car on display around Singapore

SINGAPORE - To celebrate Williams Martini Racing’s Formula One achievements this year, Bacardi-Martini has built four life-sized replicas of the award winning FW38 race car.

The replicas will be displayed at four prominent clubs and bars, all near the Singapore Formula 1 racetrack.

One of the cars will be displayed atop the 57th level of the Marina Bay Sands at CÉ LA VI. At The Exchange, Asia Square, another car has been mounted to look like it is racing across the vertical glass walls around the entire parameter of the establishment.

The third sits within the centre of 1 Raffles Place Mall’s Atrium and just outside, on street level, the bustling crowd at the Central Business District features another installation that showcases the Formula One car racing downhill.

Fabricated with a combination of foam, wood and PVC, every facet is faithfully modelled after the original FW38 car, right down to the wing mirrors and the tiny communication antennas protruding from the front bonnet.

The cars will be on display until the third week of September.
