STW restructures Sales Success investment

SYDNEY - WPP's Australian business STW Communications Group has increased its equity stake in Sales Success to 75 per cent, as part of a programme of expansion and restructuring.

OgilvyAction will become a division of Sales Success, headed by business director Paul Jenkins. The remaining ownership stays with founder and CEO Mark Rodgers (pictured).

Sales Success will keep the OgilvyAction brand alive in Australia and along with new division Tribe will provide a range of activation services for their respective clients.

“The new ownership structure offers us opportunities to export our cost-efficient engagement tools through the tie-up with the OgilvyAction network in Asia, and allow our proprietary software platform and programme implementation to be conducted through local networks,” said Rodgers.

“We have some great work in Asia, but it’s hard for a small Australian company to go alone in the broader Asia market place. Partnering with Oglivy we now have an opportunity to expand.”

Sales Success has worked with clients that include Nestle, Diageo, Nokia, and American Express.

STW Communications Group initially bought a 40 per cent stake in Sales Success in June 2007.
