Update: Mindshare China VP Siew Ping Lim joins OMD China as CEO

BEIJING - Siew Ping Lim, most recently vice-president of Mindshare China, has joined OMD as CEO for its China operations. She is based in Shanghai and reports to Elaine Ip, CEO of OMG China.

Lim will fill the OMD China position which has been empty for some time. During her eight years tensure at Mindshare China, she was first managing director of the Guangzhou office and was promoted as VP. Managing three offices across China, Lim steered the Guangzhou operations to exceed expectations with double-digit revenue growth.

A 17-year media veteran, Lim started her media career in Malaysia, and has worked in various parts of Asia, including Japan, China, Indonesia, and across blue-chip brands such as Caltex, Canon, Danone, Wrigley's, Procter & Gamble, Citibank, Coca-Cola, Tiger Beer, British American Tobacco Company, among others.

"OMD China has seen continuous success over the past seven years, Our key objective is to identify strong leaders to sustain our rapid business growth," said Ip, "Siew Ping has a strong track record and is also well-respected for her people and management skills. We are delighted to have her on board."

The news follows a series of senior management moves within OMD.

In July, CEO of OMG China Elaine Ip confirmed that five long-serving senior executives within OMD China had handed in their resignations. Shortly after in August, OMG confirmed that Maggie Choi, CEO of OMD Asia-Pacific, wiould also be leaving the company after 13 years.
