Suntory lets whisky fans design their own rocks

JAPAN - Suntory, working with TBWA Hakuhodo, has given drinkers a chance to design their own 3D ice sculptures.

The '3D on the rocks' campaign invites consumers to submit an ice design via web or smartphone. Ten winners will receive an invitation to go to a 'secret' bar in Tokyo, where they'll receive their ice sculpture—and presumably enjoy it immediately in a tumbler of the brand's product.

The campaign website contains a gallery of sculptures, including a shark and a high-heeled shoe, but we're not sure whether those are the consumer-submitted designs or some examples created in advance. The deadline for submissions appears to be tomorrow, and the agency did not respond to a request for clarification in time for publication.
