Starcom MediaVest Group promotes Joanna von Felkerzam to research director for Asia-Pacific

HONG KONG - Starcom MediaVest Group has promoted Joanna von Felkerzam (pictured) to the position of director of research and insights for Asia-Pacific.

Previously director of insights and captivation for North Asia, von Felkerzam will report directly to Kate Sirkin, EVP, global research director and also has a dotted reporting line to the network’s regional CEOs including Bertilla Teo in Greater China, Ravi Kiran in South Asia, Jeffrey Seah in Southeast Asia and John Sintras in Australia.

In her new role, von Felkerzam is charged with creating and delivering a regional plan that is aligned with SMG’s global research vision and map, as well as leading and initiating local research plans to meet global and regional needs. She will also have overall management and optimisation of regional budgets and staff.

On the appointment, Sirkin said: “In SMG’s evolution, the role of research and analytics is critical. With Joanna’s expertise, I am confident of her ability to lead her team in providing actionable insights about consumers and their connections with brands to deliver more human and future-focused brand experience platforms and partnerships for our clients."
