The pitch also included Cheil Worldwide, HS Ad, Hancomm and Korad. A spokesperson for Diamond Ogilvy was unable to specify the value of the account, but said that the agency would hold the business under contract for a minimum of two years.

The forthcoming campaign will reportedly promote the Tosca as a powerful car offering a smooth ride.

According to John Pak, Diamond Ogilvy’s lead account director, the account was a crucial win as GM Daewoo is the only one of Korea’s large auto manufacturers not engaged in a long-term advertising partnership.

Hyundai Kia is serviced by Hyundai Group’s in-house agency Innocean, while Renault Samsung’s advertising business is handled by Wellcome Publicis.
