Sources close to the pitch have indicated DDB will handle advertising for Bank of China’s products, including internet banking and personal loans. The agency has created Bank of China’s latest OOH campaign.

Bank of China did not have a single incumbent agency, but has used over 10 local agencies on a project basis.

OMD is the brand’s media agency in Hong Kong, with McCann Erickson handling its branding in China.

DDB has previously worked for the credit card division of American International Group (AIG). The agency’s recent wins include Fortress, which recently launched a TVC campaign staring Canto-pop singer Kate Tse.

Other recent wins include Vitasoy and ZTE, a Chinese telecommunications equipment provider

Bank of China was established in Hong Kong over 80 years ago.
