Cadbury Gems | Flying Object & Chair Pop | India

Cadbury is living up to expectations and introducing a strong element of fun in the latest television campaign for its candy-coated Gems in India.

Regular pandas are rare, but what about rainbow pandas? Ogilvy India has extended Cadbury’s ‘masti’ (meaning fun in Hindi) image and brings the audience deep into the forest to search for the creatures. The commercial is set in a documentary style and as the film crew explores further among the trees, they discover a group of rainbow pandas chowing down on Gems. Thinking they have uncovered the greatest secret in the world, the crew is disappointed when a panda turns back to its original color after running out of Gems. The tagline reads, ‘The colourful choice of coloured pandas’; Gems would appear to be the ultimate potion for happiness.

A creative spokesperson at Ogilvy explained that the black-and-white animal is the perfect candidate to try something more colourful and exciting. No doubt the rainbow pandas are at the top of everyone’s favourite animals list.
