Swiss-based iConcerts signs partnership deal in Singapore and China

The multi-faceted collaboration starting this autumn, will see China DTV Production’s digital music channel broadcast an iConcerts branded programming block in primetime to over 60 million households.

This co-production deal will set the stage for an unprecedented distribution of international artist concerts like Lady Gaga and Phil Collins in mainland China.

As part of the deal, iConcerts and China DTV Production have also agreed to co-produce a series of concerts featuring a mix of international and local Chinese artists.

Additionally, iConcerts has also entered into a partnership agreement with CIBN (China Information Broadcast Network) to launch a Chinese version of the company’s on-demand site in November 2010.

A source closed to the news said that iConcerts will also open a new office in Singapore on 6 December, after signing a partnerhip deal with WOW TV and M1. However it is believed that M1 is not yet prepared as they are still waiting for their license to launch their IPTV service.

The official launch in Singapore on 6 December will feature the worldwide premiere of the Phil Collins concert in HD.
