Sam Cassels appointed CEO of Publicis Singapore

SINGAPORE - Publicis Asia has appointed Sam Cassels (pictured), the former CEO for Saatchi & Saatchi Japan, as CEO of Publicis Singapore.

Cassels had taken on the Saatchi role in January last year.

Cassels replaces Thomas Neo, who left the agency in May this year after spending a decade there.

Cassels has been a key part of the Publicis Groupe for over 10 years.

Prior to heading Saatchi & Saatchi’s operations in Japan he was the CEO of Publicis Japan and also had stint at a Publicis Groupe role with Dentsu in Tokyo for three years. He has also worked as the regional business director for HP based out of Singapore from 1999 to 2002.

Matthew Godfrey, CEO of Publicis Asia, said: “I have been working closely with Sam both at Publicis and at Saatchi and am very pleased to have him return to Publicis Asia. I believe his communication expertise, combined with his experience and spirit, will be a huge asset for Publicis and our clients in Singapore.”

Cassels has been tasked with full responsibility of the Singapore operations and both the network and national clients that are based in the Singapore office, including Hewlett-Packard, Citibank, Far East, CDL, Heineken, LG, L’Oréal and Procter & Gamble.

“I am delighted to return to Singapore with the Groupe, and particularly to stay close to people and clients that I have known and worked with for many years,” said Cassels.
