ASIA-PACIFIC - Following a global media review, Johnson & Johnson is tipped to have retained OMD, part of the Omnicom group, and the Interpublic Group as its media agencies in Asia-Pacific.

OMD and IPG tipped to retain Johnson & Johnson business

According to sources, OMD retained the consumer business in key Asia-Pacific markets, including China, India and Australia. OMD has also bagged the media duties for Johnson & Johnson's Vision Care business in five ASEAN markets: Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

OMD declined to comment.

IPG kept both the consumer and Vision Care businesses in Japan. It has also added the consumer business in Singapore to its kitty.

GroupM had also pitched for the account. Campaign Asia-Pacific could not ascertain who the other participants were, if any.

Earlier, Johnson & Johnson retained UM as its media agency in North America, while WPP’s GroupM and IPG agencies share the business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
