Calvin Klein Underwear (CK) is building anticipation for the global launch of its X underwear line through a campaign featuring international actors and athletes.

Actors Kellan Lutz and Mehcad Brooks along with athletes Hidetoshi Nakata and Fernando Verdasco will appear in print and outdoor ads for the ‘Mark Your Spot’ campaign due to launch across Asia, Japan, America and Europe in March and April. The creative for all the marketing components are marked with a bright red X in following on from the 'Mark Your Spot' campaign title.

Prior to the launch, microsite xmarkyourspot.com will go live on 15 February. Other digital promotions due to launch as part of a later phase will include videos, behind-the-scenes photo shoots and an augmented reality feature.

“Our newest campaign is a wonderful representation of today's Calvin Klein underwear consumer, reflecting the breadth and diversity of our global reach in a way that speaks to their lifestyle,” said Helen McCluskey, president at Warnaco Intimate Apparel and Swim.

The campaign is said to be the biggest digital buying project for CK to date. The buy includes market specific space on Facebook in twenty markets and other regional online portals to drive traffic to the microsite.
