A retiree tours the streets of Bangkok

Porsche brought its 919 Hybrid to Thailand as part of a world farewell tour.

After announcing that it would retire the 919 Hybrid from the racing circuit, Porsche took the car on a 13-stop world tour. The film above, by Keko Singapore and The Prosecution Film Company for Porsche Asia Pacific, shows the exotic speedster cruising the rain-slicked streets of Bangkok and attracting the attention of various locals.

The car also made earlier stops in Tokyo and Shanghai, but those don't appear to have been documented in such a lavish manner.

A behind-the-scenes shot

Ad Nut is wary of cars (for they are almost as deadly as murderous beasts to Ad Nut's kind), but has to admit this one looks very cool as it slinks through the Thai capital.
