Best spaces to work: Y&R Singapore

Striking graffiti art helps to frame the Y&R office in Singapore.

When Y&R's Singapore office underwent a facelift a couple of years ago, the most striking new feature was not merely the new cafe-style pantry and brainstorming area with its industrial inspired lighting and high tables, but the new art that came with it.

Y&R hired influential Thai graffiti artist Alex Face to help transform the space using his signature baby illustrations.  The result was a workspace with a vibrant urban street art feel.

The interior of the office at the WPP building at 50 Scotts Road near Orchard Road which was originally designed by db&b. It features bright and airy open plan working spaces, with high windows and lots of light.

Team members do have their own workspaces, but the layout was designed to support hot desking, along with several breakout areas for solo or collaborative work.  The space even includes a huge communal rooftop sun terrace for days when staff are able to beat the heat.

Note: 'Best spaces to work' merely highlights new and cool workspaces; it should not be interpreted as an endorsement of a company's overall work experience.
