Y&R hired to promote fair employment and further education in Singapore
The Tripartite Centre for Fair Employment has given the WPP agency a brief to change the mindsets of employers to adopt “fair and merit-based workplaces”. New campaigns will break in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Meanwhile, the WDA has tasked the WPP agency to create a national education campaign to encourage Singaporeans to enter further education to boost their employability.

The campaign, also scheduled to break in Q4 2008, is also part of the Singapore government’s 10-year plan to sharpen economic competitiveness by ensuring workers have the necessary skills the industry needs.

Unemployment in Singapore grew to 2.4 per cent in the second quarter of 2008.
