Overall this year, Spikes received 4,301 entries from 22 countries across its 20 award categories: Creative Effectiveness (19), Design (350), Digital (407), Digital Craft (131), Direct (291), Entertainment (126), Film (379), Film Craft (441), Healthcare (188), Innovation (32), Integrated (43), Media (333), Mobile (173), Music (56), Outdoor (293), PR (264), Print & Outdoor Craft (177), Print & Publishing (148), Promo & Activation (346) and Radio (104).

“Obviously the one-year break taken by Publicis make year-on-year comparisons difficult, but it’s true that in every Festival year there will be growth and decline in individual categories to reflect what’s going on in the industry," said Terry Savage, chairman of Cannes Lions and Spikes Asia. "It’s interesting to note that this year we saw a 10 percent increase in entries from independent agencies along with a 49 percent increase in entries into the Film Craft category.”

The winners will be revealed during the Spikes Asia Awards Ceremony in the MasterCard Theatre in the Marina Bay Sands on Friday 29 September.
