Publicis Bangkok will lead the account in partnership with sister agency Publicis Pro based in Erlangen, Germany.

According to a company statement, the clients are based at Siemens Energy's headquarters in Germany but increasingly doing business in the emerging markets of Asia and America.

"We developed the idea of 'invent in Thailand' and 'achieve in Germany' as a way of ensuring global coverage with regular client involvement," said Publicis CEO, Mark Ingrouille.

He adds that the clients are looking for creative work that will change the conversation about energy production and delivery, whether it be from renewable energy or traditional sources.

Siemens Energy's communications chief Guenter Baumgartner said the company is developing new ways of delivering energy across the entire energy chain.

"Competition is strong and as leaders in the category we recognised the need for outstanding creativity and a new approach to our communications. Publicis came up with a brilliant solution to both delivering our message and managing a complex business structure," he added.

Siemens develops products, solutions and services for the entire energy conversion chain. The company has over 85,000 employees worldwide and posted US$31 billion in revenue for 2009.
