MTV Asia appoints manager of marketing partnerships in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: MTV Asia has hired Fox International's marketing manager, Tengku Shamel Tengku Asri, as manager of marketing partnerships, to be based in Malaysia.

The role is newly created for Malaysia, and Shamel will be reporting to Jamie Lee, senior manager, marketing partnerships MTV Asia, based in Singapore.

Shamel, who will be starting his new job soon, is tasked with developing sponsorship opportunities, crafting proposals and managing projects for the channel's Malaysian clients. He will also be responsible for monitoring the department's budget and financial results.
