M&C Saatchi scoops creative duties for Chinese snack brand AMing

SHANGHAI – Shanghai Sanming Foodstuff Company, a domestic traditional snack food enterprise, has handed the creative duties for its major brand AMing to M&C Saatchi.

M&C Saatchi Shanghai won the AMing snack brand without a pitch. Sanming Foodstuff made the decision after several rounds of negotiations with the agency.

M&C Saatchi’s responsilities include redefining brand strategy, marketing communications, above-the-line executions and product packaging.

Jason Wu, group account director for the new win, said domestic businesses is an important focus for the agency.

“Besides our international clients’ portfolio, it has always been strategic for M&C Saatchi to develop more local business, especially in China where the competition is fierce,” he added.

AMing has a strong history in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. The brand is distributed in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast Asia and the West.

Recent news from M&C Saatchi include winning Mengniu Arla in October.
