Vitalis, who has a parallel role in its South Africa office, replaces Juan Pablo Zamorano in China.

Colgate launched its business in Hong Kong during the 1950s but did not enter the mainland until the early 1990s. Since then the company has grown rapidly with business units set up in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Yangzhou handling Colgate, Colgate-Palmolive and Sanxiao respectively.

Its current product line in oral care, personal care and fabric care is distributed to over 500 cities across China, with Colgate toothpaste continuously ranked as the market leader in the mainland.
