Colman has been with the agency for seven years and is tipped to be joining DDB China.

A source close to the development said that Colman has been 'sidelined' into handling the Maybelline New York account — a smaller part of the L'Oréal business — over the past year.

McCann Worldgroup said that Colman's replacement will be on board in September, but did not confirm who would be taking on the role.

Before joining McCann Worldgroup China, Colman spent six years working in the advertising industry in China. He was GM of Wunderman and also a co-founder and partner of the interactive agency Groove Street/Smart Club.

L'Oreal recently appointed Hugh Laurie as global brand ambassador for its Men Expert range.
