The move has displaced incumbent McCann Worldgroup, which is not thought to have participated in the review. G2, Grey Group’s below-the-line marketing division, will be responsible for managing all out-of-home commercial messaging on the bank’s IPTV LED screens.

The ensuing project is expected to cover operations, content management and activation, according to a spokesperson from G2. Agus Sudradjat, president director of Grey Group Indonesia, could not be reached for further comment on the win at press time.

Earlier this year, Barclays finalised an agreement to acquire PT Bank Akita, a small, privately owned banking firm, in Indonesia as part of its strategy to raise exposure in emerging markets with strong growth potential.

G2 Jakarta also works with CIMB Niaga, one of Indonesia’s largest banks. Last month, the agency won an account from Jamsostek Persero, a domestic social security organisation.
