Stalker video? Indonesian star hunts for prey for Asus

Asus ad captures the thrill of the chase for its Zenphone3 model.

Stalker alert: A femme fatale is on the prowl, staking out picturesque Warsaw to take a shot of her prey.

Ad Nut can’t decide whether this Asus ad perpetuates gender stereotypes; the plot could have turned downright creepy if the gender roles were switched. But hey, Ad Nut gets high at the sight of a bold female character on the screen, making the first move and always ahead of the game.

However, in terms of its execution, Ad Nut feels that this ad targeting the Indonesian market is less bold than the brand's previous efforts. Sure, the cinematography is immaculate, but Ad Nut feels like we've seen something like this before, maybe in a Dunhill ad in the early '90s?

Ad Nut also hopes that the mysterious heroine, played by popular Indonesian actress Bunga Citra Lestari, is not disappointed when she meets her subject up close; the phone's fancy camera might have made him look even better than real life.
