Softbank | Sumo | Japan

Japanese telecom and media corporation Softbank has hired superstar Brad Pitt for two television commercials.

In the ads Pitt plays a sumo wrestler’s personal assistant.

The ads were shot in Manhattan under Dentsu and famed US director Spike Jonze. Jonze is the director and producer behind the 1999 popular cult movie Being John Malkovich and satire Adaptation. The Softbank campaign will only be aired in Japan.

Softbank is currently the second largest telco in the Japanese market.
