Next Media | VDOnext 2010 Campaign | Hong Kong

Next Media Limited of Hong Kong is launching a mass print and outdoor campaign at the end of this week to promote the VDONext.com website, hosting over 1,000 videos in Chinese.

VDONext.com forms part of Next Media Webcast, a subsidiary of Next Media. The site hosts nine channels, each catering to the interests of a different audience, including cooking, beauty, entertainment, gadgets, e-video greetings, funny videos, how-to guides, horoscopes and an encyclopedia for parents. The website is linked with the content in Next Media, which provides readers with an interactive and media-rich experience.

Being the new kid on the block in the video-sharing industry has its challenges. But Next Media is aiming to increase awareness with this campaign and encourage higher viewership. VDONext also has a Facebook presence, allowing people to follow updates on the latest video episodes and share them with friends.

The creative work for the posters puts a twist on popular movies including 300, Hannibal, Home Alone and more. Each is geared towards a particular channel; the Home Alone theme, for instance, advertises the parental encyclopedia content and features an exhausted, stressed out couple. The project was developed by Next Media’s in-house creative department.

Next Media recently launched cable channel NextTV. The channel's animated recreation of news stories at the end of last year drew worldwide attention.
