ZenithOptimedia Korea will be led by Jessica Lee who joins from Cheil where she was responsible for the global media duties for Korea’s largest global advertiser Samsung.

Previously ZenithOptimedia partnered with Publicis Welcomm in Korea.

The new office will be providing leading local and global multinational clients in Korea with communications planning, digital strategy and implementation, SEM and media buying services.

"Having a strong presence in Korea, the fourth largest market for media expenditure in Asia-Pacific is a key part of our growth strategy,” commented Philip Talbot, CEO of ZenithOptimedia Asia-Pacific.

“As Korean clients are becoming highly sophisticated and demanding increased levels of resource and specialisation, the time is right to make a significant investment into a new pure play media agency structure," said Malcolm Hanlon managing partner for ZentihOptimedia Asia-Pacific.

"Korea’s proximity to China and the massive trading relationship and positive historical and political ties will only enhance the prospects for the Korean market," he added.

“Korea is an extremely competitive market and clients are constantly looking for a clear business advantage from their marketing and media investments," said Jessica Lee, director ZenithOptimedia Korea.

"ZenithOptimedia’s ROI positioning is a powerful edge in the Korean market and I am extremely excited about the opportunity to develop this approach in Korea. We have a great team and a wonderful client base on which to build the business,” she concluded.
