MELBOURNE - OMD has been appointed to handle digital media planning buying, and search for personal budgeting service MyBudget following a competitive pitch.

The incumbent digital agency for the account was MediaCom and the PPC Search agency was SponsoredLinX.

Founded by Tammy May (pictured) in 1999 as a "kitchen table" start-up, MyBudget now helps more than 25,000 Australians with their finances and employs 180 members of staff in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

The decision to shift from two agencies to one, said May was a "big leap in the right direction". “The online environment represents a big opportunity for MyBudget. For some time we’ve felt that we needed the expertise of a digital specialist to help us refine our digital strategy."
