Nissan appoints TBWA in India

MUMBAI - Nissan Motors has appointed TBWA and OMD as its advertising and media agencies, respectively, in India.

The appointment covers the entire range of Nissan passenger vehicles in India including the X Trail and Teana vehicles.

K Tokuyama, managing director and COO of Nissan Motors India Pvt. Ltd, said: “Nissan has aggressive plans for the Indian market and we were looking for a communication partner who could help us build our brands creatively and effectively. TBWA demonstrated disruptive thinking combined with great creative solutions that we believe will give the Nissan brand an edge going forward.

“M/S Hover Automotive India (HAI), our marketing and sales arm in India, will be working closely with TBWA to develop launch and marketing plans for our current and future models.”

Shiv Sethuraman, group CEO TBWA India, added: “This was a hard fought pitch and we are delighted that NMIPL and HAI chose us. We are looking forward to rolling up our sleeves and getting some great work done.”
