Nick Drew leaves Starcom Malaysia for Google, Wong steps up

KUALA LUMPUR - Nick Drew has left his post as managing director of Starcom Malaysia after nine years with the agency to join Google Malaysia in an undisclosed role.

Wong Pi Yee, managing director of MediaVest, will be taking on Drew's duties at Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) Malaysia for the present.

Ranga Somanathan, COO SMG SE Asia will also be stepping in to oversee the group's operations in Malaysia during the transition period. 

“Nick has informed me of his decision to move on from the agency world and take the plunge within a different side of our business world," said Jeffrey Seah, CEO for Southeast Asia Starcom MediaVest Group and country chair VivaKi. "We wish him our best.”
