McDonald's | 35 Years: The Love Lives On | Hong Kong

To celebrate its 35th anniversary in Hong Kong, McDonald's is launching a 35-day long branding campaign to celebrate the occasion.

McDonald's | 35 Years: The Love Lives On | Hong Kong
The ‘35 Years: The Love Lives On’ campaign consists of three commercials along with print, outdoor and in-store displays. The campaign aims to illustrate McDonald’s family culture and also acknowledge its dedicated staff.

The first TVC follows a day in the life of an employee who has been with McDonald’s for fourteen years. On her way to work, she tirelessly practices common greetings in English. She then consults her colleagues on the English wordings in the McDonald’s menu. The commercial demonstrates that McDonald’s continues to provide an environment for employees to learn and grow.

Internationally recognised Hong Kong singer Eason Chan will separately endorse seven promotional ads due to rotate throughout the campaign period.

The McDonald’s minisite is also featuring a 'McDonald’s Magic Moments' billboard offering people the chance to share their love stories or special moments by uploading their photos along with a short description until 5 March. The best stories will be shared on local commercial radio channel 903 (CR2) in the ‘Dik Dak Dik Dik Dak’ segment. Milk magazine will also be distributing a ‘McDonald’s Magic Moments’ booklet this week.

“McDonald’s has an inherent sense of social responsibility. We provide equal opportunities for all candidates and ongoing training for all employees to ensure we offer our customers the best experience possible,” said Anisa Tio, McDonald's assistant marketing director in Hong Kong.
