Pulse Communications will be working with the Hot Wheels and Monster High brand teams on consumer PR and sponsorship activation campaigns throughout the year. Responsibilities will include launching the Monster High franchise in Australia and promoting Hot Wheels to a broader consumer audience.

Activity for Hot Wheels has already started with consumer events at service stations in Melbourne and Sydney. The 'Fuel your passion' events lets 700 motorists take advantage of petrol prices back in 1968 at 10 cents per liter, also the brand's inaugural year.

“Hot Wheels is one of the world’s most iconic brands and Monster High looks set to take Australia by storm in 2011. We’ll be working to deliver some exciting and dynamic work for both brands throughout the year and the team is very excited about this great opportunity,” said Matt Buchanan, managing director of Pulse Communications.

One of Mattel's fastest growing brands, Monster High is expected to be the beginning of a 'scary cute' era and one of the biggest hits in Australia and New Zealand during 2011. Including books, toys and merchandise, the girls' brand brings together the teenage descendants of famous monsters to brave the horrors of high school.

Other clients currently working with Pulse include Ford, LG, Carlton & United Breweries, Malaysia Kitchen, McCain and Heinz.
