Grey and the incumbent agency, Ogilvy & Mather, were also believed to be involved in the pitches.

The projects, which are expected to run for one year, mark JWT’s first property assignments in China.

Desmond So (pictured), CEO of JWT Hong Kong, said: “Hutchison Whampao’s management wanted to use a Hong Kong agency as they felt it offered more appropriate creative and advertising formats for its properties. This is good news for Hong Kong agencies who should have more opportunities to work on sizeable property projects in China.”
