Isobar touts digital convergence by promoting Cherry Tang, Alvin Huang

Cherry Tang (pictured left), previously director of digital media services at wwwins Isobar Shanghai, has been promoted to media practice leader for wwwins Isobar China, effective immediately.

She will continue to be based in Shanghai and report to Alvin Huang (pictured right), who in addition to his managing director role at wwwins Isobar Beijing, has at the same time been appointed managing partner of integrated media at wwwins Isobar China.

"Content, technology and media are inseparable in the digital world," said Jean Lin, CEO of Isobar Asia Pacific. "With Cherry’s skills and Alvin’s management support, I know we can improve Isobar’s full-service DNA."

Tang will focus on driving innovation of the agency’s media products in conjunction with Isobar NowLab and integrating digital media with social and mobile ROI.

Huang will work closely with Tang as management sponsor for media practice development and ensure that Isobar’s digital media service model suits the changing needs of clients.

Tang has more than 12 years of experience in both traditional and digital media. Before joining wwwins Isobar Shanghai in 2009, she was general manager of Mindshare Interaction and director of Zed Digital.

Huang joined wwwins Isobar in 2004 and worked as its business director in Taiwan before that. In 2009, he was tasked with heading wwwins Isobar in Beijing, a comparatively more media-centric digital market than Taiwan.
