FT moves to improve China online offering

HONG KONG - The Financial Times has upgraded its FTChinese.com site in a move to sustain momentum among readers and advertisers in the China market.

The revised destination will reportedly feature a new look and improved user functions, including a more effective search facility, date-linked archive and the option to store content for future reference. Additional content will include an FT Videos section featuring video news and interviews from global entrepreneurs, economists and columnists, as well as online career development guidance in accordance with career planning experts.

A range of interactive features, such as a new top button position and video, will also aim to provide advertisers with greater opportunities to target readers.
The developments follow the recent appointment by the FT of Dan Molloy as the site’s president. FTChinese.com has been in operation since 2005.
