China's online advertising up 43 per cent in Q2 : En-fodesk

That means an increase of 43 per cent compared with the first quarter, and 57 per cent up from the same period last year.

The report says the increase was mainly driven by the FIFA World Cup in South Africa and the ongoing Shanghai World Expo.

Online advertising revenue was hit by the economic downturn in the first quarter of 2009, spiking only 5.9 per cent compared to the same period in 2008 but then picking up quickly towards the latter half of last year.
