We Are Social breaks down India's digital, social & mobile landscape

This country-focused report is the latest in We Are Social's series of studies into digital, social and mobile use around the world. This report explores the connected landscape in India and shows that while internet usage has jumped significantly in the past 12 months, barely a quarter of India's consumers have internet access today. Given the digital landscape in the country, one of the conclusions that We Are Social makes is that marketers should design all Internet experiences to work on basic mobile devices and relatively slow connections. While online video is rising in popularity, marketers must make sure that downloading it and watching it are even a possibility, given the handset types and connection realities in the market.
