Soaps that smell like suckers: Chupa Chups-themed kid-washing products debut

Thai parents will need to be vigilant to prevent children from conducting taste tests of a new line of bath and body products that smell like Chupa Chups.

Perfetti van Melle and Take n’ Care are introducing a range of Chupa Chups bath and body products for teens and kids in the Thai market.

The collection includes strawberry and cream, ice cola, cherry cola, vanilla paradise, green apple, coconut and pineapple, and choco mint 'flavours' in products for bath, shower and hair products, as well as body lotion and hand-and-nail cream.

Curiously, although the press materials refer to the product line as the 'Don’t eat me' collection, those words don't seem to appear on the packaging; parents of young kids would be well advised to supervise bath-time so as to avoid ingestion.

Introduced at an event last week at Bangkok's Central World mall—with Thai celebrities the Boriboon family as guests of honour—the product line is already available in Thai hypermarkets, supermarkets, department stores, convenience stores and specialty stores.
