Yahoo rolls out intuitive search product

GLOBAL - Yahoo has unveiled a new search product that answers users' questions as they type their query into the search box.

Yahoo rolls out intuitive search product

Search Direct, which launched in beta in the US today (24 March), has been designed to provide content for users in a faster and more efficient way.

Yahoo said it will deliver access to websites and answers to questions, before the user has pressed the search button or gone to a results page.

It will roll out the product to other Yahoo properties and markets before the end of the year.

In September last year, Google unveiled a new search tool, Google Instant, which presents updated results as each letter of a search term is typed, reducing search time.
