The adventure aims to bring the whole family together to explore the web, discover the various Yahoo! properties and spend quality time bonding, guided by three values namely “pledge together”, “surf together” and “play together”.

The treasure hunt promotes responsible use of the Internet by educating parents and their children about online safety and netiquette, while standing a chance to win exciting prizes.

Prizes include Globe Tattoo prepaid broadband sticks, flight tickets, McDonald’s birthday party packages, MyPhone mobile phones, and a Presidio condominium unit at Lakefront City.

A family consisting of at least one parent and one child aged 13 or above is eligible to participate in the treasure hunt. Each team will have to complete a set of assignments using different Yahoo! properties to unlock a series of clues revealed at various times in a day on associated social media sites, offsite locations and traditional media channels.

Arlene Amarante, country ambassador of Yahoo! Philippines, noted that Purple Hunt is an extension of Yahoo!’s brand values of being human, innovative, relevant and fun.

“At Yahoo!, we seek to infuse our campaigns and all that we do with a touch of ‘purple’. We want to pursue our passion to drive positive change in the Philippines, become an essential part of the life of Filipino families and make a meaningful contribution to the local society,” she added.
