Vodafone switches from Host to Ogilvy Sydney

SYDNEY - Vodafone has appointed Ogilvy Sydney as its creative agency citing "commercial efficiency measures" as a reason for leaving Host, their incumbent agency.

Vodafone switches from Host to Ogilvy Sydney

Ogilvy is expected to start work in the coming months, following a transition from Host. The account is reportedly worth about US$49 million.

Jana Kotatko, general manager of brand and communications at Vodafone, said in a statement, “As part of a number of commercial efficiency measures, we have taken the decision to appoint Ogilvy Sydney as our creative agency."

She added that as WPP is a partner of Vodafone worldwide, working with Ogilvy Sydney and STW Group (the holding company for Ogilvy Sydney) would bring a "centralised and consistent focus across brand communications".

“We would like to thank Host, an extraordinary creative agency who has been an incredible partner for Vodafone over the last two years,” she added.

Kotatko was not available for additional comment.
