Top Charoen | Ballroom | Thailand

Top Charoen is a leading optician in Thailand that never fails to entertain its audience.

Top Charoen | Ballroom | Thailand
In its latest campaign, devised by JWT Bangkok, the lens and glasses retailer is pushing sales with a ‘free watch’ promotion. The commercial features a dishevelled man attending a luxurious ballroom party. Although he is not good looking and dressed poorly, he still becomes the centre of attention.

Running until April, the ad sends out the message that a nice watch is the only thing that one needs to look good. Apparently, it even makes up for bad dancing skills.

JWT Bangkok points out that humour is a strong brand-building strategy in Thailand. The commercials for Top Charoen are known for their tongue-in-cheek nature and surprising twists at the end.
