GLOBAL - TBWA has named James Cheung (pictured) as worldwide creative director for its Beiersdorf business to replace Ben Scheer in a redesigned role.

TBWA appoints Cheung to lead global Beiersdorf creative
Under the appointment, Cheung will assume creative duties for all the agency’s Beiersdorf brands, including Nivea, Nivea Visage, Nivea Body, Nivea Sun and Labello, among others. According to an agency spokesperson, Cheung will also be available for “selected international projects”. The spokesperson said that Cheung’s international background meant that the role would evolve from Scheer’s tenure.

He will be based in Hamburg and report to Perry Valkenburg, TBWA’s chief operating officer international and president Europe.

Cheung has previously worked as creative director on Euro RSCG’s Evian account, in addition to various senior creative positions at TBWA offices in Hong Kong and New York.
