Starcom strengthens digital with new hires

SHANGHAI - In an effort to strengthen its digital capabilities in the market, Starcom MediaVest Group China has appointed two senior managers, including Tim Haynes (pictured) as general manager based in Shanghai.

Starcom strengthens digital with new hires
Haynes joins SMG just seven months after being appointed chief digital officer of Chinese digital marketing agency SinoTech Group.

At SMG, Haynes is tasked with overseeing the network’s digital business in China as well as promoting digital as a medium for each of the agency’s clients in the market.

According to the agency, Haynes will bank on his 10-years of experience in the digital industry, where he developed strategies on topics including internet culture, virtual communities and technology and society. He will report directly to chief digital officer for North and South Asia Pushkar Sane.

The media group has also appointed Sarika Tulsyan as business director for Starcom IP. Tulsyan, who joins the agency from Vietnamese digital shop New Media, will lead business growth in Shanghai.

In the past, Tulsyan has focused on the Indian and Vietnamese markets and has also worked at agencies including Rapp Collins.
