Standard Chartered opens photo contest in run up to 2011 marathon

HONG KONG - In line with the 'Join the race, share the spirit' theme for the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2011, the bank is calling on the public to enter submit their pictures capturing determination and perseverance.

Photography fans are encouraged to capture and submit moments of determination and perseverance in their daily lives from 14 December to 24 January 2011.

"Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon is an event for not only runners but also all Hong Kong citizens,” said Benjamin Hung, executive director and CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong.

“By holding this photo contest, we would like to recruit more people to participate and carry on the belief of uniting Hong Kong,” he added.

Poad as the official outdoor advertising sponsor of the race will chip in taxi advertising as one of the promotional channels. Call-to-action ads are also running in print and on Facebook this week.

The top three winning photos will be displayed at tram shelters during February.

The competition is co-organised by Standard Chartered Bank, Poad and Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association.
