Online travel agent Zuji appoints UM Sydney

SYDNEY - Asia-Pacific online travel agency Zuji has appointed UM Sydney in preparation for the brand’s 2011 activities.

UM was awarded the business without  a pitch and will be responsible for building brand awareness offline and online.

Zuji.com.au is a one-stop, online, travel shop for more than 400 airlines, 60,000 hotels, car hire companies, travel insurers and allows users to book deals to worldwide attractions. It operates sites in New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, and Singapore and is owned by Travelocity.

"This is a highly dynamic industry that is accelerating with online capabilities that are highly user friendly to our customers," said James Gaskell, managing director of Zuji Australia.

"UM has an impressive track record and skill sets in building online brands in all forms of media. They are a great fit for the ambitions we have for the Zuji business."

Managing director of UM Sydney, Travis Johnson, said, "Zuji is a very distinct brand with huge opportunities. We are developing a fully integrated approach to 2011 and looking for new opportunities to make Zuji a much more sought after and influential brand in this sector."
