OMD Philippines names Cifra as general manager

MANILA - OMD Philippines has promoted Carla J. Cifra to general manager with immediate effect, after her appointment as client service director barely six months ago.

This new position sees her assume responsibility for strengthening OMD’s value proposition in the country, while ensuring that strategic inputs from each specialised business units within the organisation are woven to produce exceptional results for clients.

To report to Hermie De Leon, president and CEO of Omnicom Media Group, Philippines, Cifra joined OMD in 2006 as a senior media planner. She was promoted to business manager in 2008, responsible for delivering strategic client servicing to a variety of clients in industries such as telecom, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, finance and business process outsourcing.

Subsequently, she was named as the client services director in July last year.

Commenting on the promotion, De Leon said, “Carla’s promotion is a testament to her exceptional abilities. As the new General Manager of OMD Philippines, Carla will be an asset in furthering the agency’s overall goals with ease.”

Cifra, meanwhile, added, “I have faith in my team, they are a bunch of skilled and extremely dedicated individuals, and knowing that I will be working with them on a daily basis excites me in my new job. The entire team at OMD is geared up to scale greater heights this year.”
