Ogilvy & Mather promotes CEO in Manila

MANILA - Ogilvy & Mather has promoted Peachy Pacquing (pictured) as its CEO, following the promotion of Randy Aquino as vice chairman earlier this year.

Pacquing will take on overall responsibility for the agency, leading the development of a three-year plan. She will report to David Mayo, Ogilvy & Mather ASEAN president and interim CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Philippines.

Early this year, Randy Aquino was promoted to the role of vice chairman in the Philippines, replacing Tim Isaac. Mayo then assumed the position of interim CEO for the Philippines office.

Pacquing has worked with Ogilvy & Mather for 11 years, but not continuously. She returned to the agency in March 2008 as director of 360 planning, after spending four years as a regional creative director for Knorr at JWT and previously for Pantene at Grey Malaysia.

She was then made the managing director for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Manila in May 2009.

“I am very pleased that Peachy has accepted the challenge,” Mayo said. “During her career she has proven herself to be a collaborator, a business builder, a brand expert and in the new digital age – a leader beyond compare.”

The appointment also marks the completion of a management review that saw Leticia Matias promoted as chief operating officer and Elly Puyat appointed managing director at OgilvyOne and chief digital officer at Ogilvy & Mather Philippines.

“I am looking forward to setting the course for this agency in Manila for the next three years,” Pacquing said. “My appointment is the first in what I hope will be a series of moves that will put us ahead of the competition and connect us more closely with the emergent new Philippine consumer.”
